The Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise (the Enterprise) is a unique alliance of independent organizations around the world dedicated to accelerating the development of a preventive HIV vaccine. Please join us as we work to create a world without AIDS by supporting our current and upcoming initiatives. Enterprise 2010 Scientific Strategic Plan for HIV Vaccine Development: The 2010 Scientific Strategic Plan describes the major challenges currently facing the field and makes recommendations for the changes necessary to accelerate HIV vaccine research. We are consulting with the general HIV research community about the challenges and opportunities facing the field to help inform the development of the 2010 Plan. We invite you to attend and/or distribute information about our upcoming consultations to your constituencies:

- African AIDS Vaccine Program (AAVP) Forum in Kampala, Uganda: December 15; additional details will be posted soon
World AIDS Day 2009: The AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC), the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise will host a community forum to discuss the issue of universal access and its potential impact on prevention effort funding.
