Progress Towards Development of an HIV Vaccine: report of the AIDS Vaccine 2009 Conference - May 2010
Steady advances are being made in the search for an HIV/AIDS vaccine, according to a new overview of research presented at the AIDS Vaccine 2009 Conference published in the May 2010 edition of The Lancet Infectious Diseases. “Progress towards development of an HIV vaccine: report of the AIDS Vaccine 2009 Conference,” addresses advances in novel vectors for antigen delivery and presentation, new vaccine and adjuvant strategies, alternative approaches for eliciting protective cross-neutralizing antibodies, and identification of key mechanisms in HIV infection and modulation of the immune system.
