 This meeting will tackle a range of challenges facing HIV vaccine researchers, and will counter each presented challenge with a possible solution. These challenges include development of HIV vaccines to prevent or control infection, genetic diversity of the virus, and predictive models of infection. The symposium will also cover other (non-scientific) challenges and mechanisms that can be used to reduce HIV transmission now, and in conjunction with a future vaccine.
